Welcome to King of Games Farm, providing personalized private horse care and management in the Sierra Nevada foothills, near Grass Valley, California.

Services include indoor or pasture boarding, training, horsemanship education, starting, lay-up, and retirement.

King of Games Farm is conveniently located for exploring some of the many great trail rides in the Sierra foothills, a rest stop for weary traveling equines, or sitting/care when you're away on vacation or that worrisome business trip.

We also offer retirement packages from basic pasture boarding to full-service care.

Training at King of Games Farm incorporates the Syn Alia Training System (SATS®) to teach traditional skills to horse and rider with a positive and cooperative style not found in traditional negative-feedback and manipulative techniques, coupled with decades of experience in dressage and jumper training. Two training programmes are currently offered: Yearling START™ and Dressage START™.

The name King of Games derives from an ancient Pakistani inscription: "Let other men play at other things. The game of kings is still the king of games." - a reference to polo that we paraphrase in French to reflect our heritage and original roots in the "game of kings". Over the past fourty years our focus has shifted to jumpers and dressage, but the name remains the same.
