Welcome to King of Games Farm, providing semi-private and personalized horse care, management, and training in the Sierra Nevada foothills, near Grass Valley, California.

Services include indoor or pasture boarding, training, horsemanship education, jumper and dressage training, starting and lay-up.

For 2009 we are focusing on building our short-stay business. The Bivouac at King of Games Farm caters specifically to those needing a place to stay for their horses for a short period of time. The Bivouac is a great place, conveniently located, for exploring some of the many great trail rides in the Sierra foothills, a rest stop for weary traveling equines, or sitting/care when you're away on vacation or that worrisome work trip.

Training at King of Games Farm incorporates the Syn Alia Training System (SATS®) to teach traditional skills to horse and rider with a positive and cooperative style not found in traditional negative-feedback and manipulative techniques, coupled with decades of experience in dressage and jumper training.

New to this site is the development of our online store. The store is the exclusive online source of the superior leather products of the KG Bridleworks™, as well as a web portal to purchase natural farm products, and where our clients can order services online.

The name King of Games derives from an ancient Pakistani inscription: "Let other men play at other things. The game of kings is still the king of games." - a reference to polo that we paraphrase in French to reflect our heritage and original roots in the "game of kings". Over the past fourty years our focus has shifted to jumpers and dressage, but the name remains the same.
